1. Data controller
Kaizen Strategic AI Inc., a corporation registered in British Columbia, Canada (operating the Kaizen DSP brand), is the data controller for the processing described in this policy. This policy applies to all Kaizen DSP products and services, including Choroboros, the Kaizen DSP website, future plugins, and customer content features.
2. Customer email and pre-release archive
When you purchase a Kaizen DSP product or contact us by email, we collect the information you provide — typically your email address and any message content. Before commercial testing, we collected email addresses from people who requested product updates, completed surveys, or submitted feedback. An address in that archive does not mean its owner received a beta build. These records are retained only as needed for the consented communication, support, and license continuity. You can unsubscribe from product emails at any time.
3. Feedback form submissions
If you submit feedback (bug reports, feature requests, survey responses), we collect whatever you include — typically email, message, and optional rig metadata. We use this to improve the product and provide support. We do not use feedback for marketing unless you have separately opted in.
4. Private beta signing and access
If you join a private beta, we collect the information needed to verify your invitation, record your signature, deliver your time-limited access, keep the beta secure, and support you. This may include your invited email address, legal name, the agreement version and confirmations you accepted, signing date and time, basic browser or device information, and delivery records. We may store limited Internet Protocol information in protected form for security.
Opening an invitation does not sign an agreement. We record an acceptance only after you enter your legal name, affirmatively select the required statements, and activate the button labelled “I Agree and Sign.” We then send an electronic copy and acceptance receipt to the invited email address so you can keep the record. If you decline, we do not issue private beta access.
We secure these records and limit access to people and service providers that need them to run the beta, support you, keep the service secure, or meet legal obligations.
For a private beta agreement, receipt correction, access issue, or suspected disclosure, contact info@kaizenstrategic.ai. General privacy requests may be sent to the privacy contact in Section 14.
5. Analytics
We use cookieless operational telemetry to collect limited information about how our website and services are working, such as pages visited, referring websites, download attempts, purchases, and support requests. We use it to operate the service, prevent abuse, and resolve problems. Kaizen DSP does not store raw IP addresses.
Optional analytics tools, such as Vercel Analytics, are used only according to your cookie preferences. We do not use third-party advertising trackers by default. We do not build advertising profiles.
6. Payments — Paddle merchant of record
When you purchase a commercial Kaizen DSP product, payment is processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd as the Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and processes payment data (card details, billing address, country) and handles VAT, GST, and sales tax globally. Kaizen DSP does not receive or store your payment card details.
Paddle provides us with: transaction status, your email (for license delivery), and country/region (for tax and support purposes). Payment-related personal data is governed by Paddle's privacy policy and Paddle's checkout buyer terms.
7. Creator exports
Some Kaizen DSP products may include export or sharing features for user-created content. Where those features are enabled, we may process the minimum account, license, and content data needed to provide the export and maintain attribution.
If an export includes an attribution identifier, we treat it as pseudonymous data. We do not embed your payment details in exported content. If you request erasure, we remove account-side mappings where legally and technically possible.
8. Email communications
We use your email to deliver license keys, respond to support and feedback, and send product updates you have opted into. We do not sell your email to third parties. Marketing-style emails include an unsubscribe link; transactional and support emails are necessary for the service. Compliance with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) is observed for all marketing outreach.
9. No sale of data
We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers needed to operate the service — payment, hosting, analytics, email, support, and product infrastructure providers — and only when required by law.
10. Retention
We retain data only as long as needed for the purposes above: beta signup data while needed for product communications and support continuity; purchase and license data for the life of the license and as required by tax law (typically 6–7 years for Canadian tax purposes); creator-attribution records until you request erasure or we no longer need them.
We keep private beta agreements and signing records for the term of the agreement and as long as reasonably needed to meet legal obligations or resolve a dispute. Invitation codes, verification codes, and one-time download links expire on their stated dates. We keep security records only as long as reasonably needed, unless an incident or legal requirement requires longer retention. We delete or de-identify records when they are no longer reasonably needed, subject to applicable law.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access your data, correct it, request erasure, restrict or object to certain processing, and request data portability. To exercise any right, email us at support@kaizendsp.com. We respond within 30 days. A different period may apply where applicable law requires it. British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act, Canadian privacy law, and other privacy laws may apply depending on where you live. EU/UK residents have the right to lodge a complaint with their supervisory authority.
12. Children
Kaizen DSP products are not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions that apply that threshold). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes
We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. For material changes affecting paid customers, we will notify you by email or in-product notice.
