Start with the included reference recipe. Keep its receipt when a step fails so you can investigate without repeating a build.
Getting started locally
Unpack the workflow and open a terminal in skills/build-audio-plugin/scripts. Replace the example path below with a new, dedicated output directory. Avoid symlink paths, your home directory and another project's checkout.
python3 -m dispro --workspace /absolute/new/dispro-work init
python3 -m dispro --workspace /absolute/new/dispro-work scaffold first-gain
python3 -m dispro --workspace /absolute/new/dispro-work run first-gain --timeout 30Python 3.10+ is required. Native compilation needs macOS/Linux with /usr/bin/cc. The receipt supplies a run ID and archive hash. Ctrl-C cancels the owned local job; the optional local MCP companion also supports cancellation.
When a step fails
Read the saved receipt first. Reusing a project name, changing the fixed recipe, using a symlink path, a missing compiler or a timeout can stop the run. Do not remove safeguards or rerun every stage just to check status.
The reference example has no custom interface, MIDI, smoothing or state extension. Abrupt gain changes can click. Dispro does not install generated bundles into a DAW, alter plugin caches or inspect your audio sessions.
